What type of data will be collected during a Green Suppliers Network review, and who is responsible for it?
Environmental and economic data are needed to perform the appropriate analysis. Data will be collected on as many aspects of the facility's processes as possible to make sure the Green Suppliers Network review team has what it needs to provide the best possible product. Each MEP center is responsible for all of the data collected during a Green Suppliers Network review. Suppliers should work with the NIST MEP to ensure that appropriate confidentiality agreements are arranged to maintain facility-specific information as confidential.
Are the data confidential?
Yes. Facility-specific results will not be shared with any organization outside of the Green Suppliers Network review team unless the facility agrees to share it (e.g., a case study). To provide program data to the public, facility data are separated from company names and aggregated with others across the country.
Can Corporate Champions see review results?
Results are separated from company names and aggregated with others across the country and within the Corporate Champions supply chain. Corporate Champions can, however, make independent arrangements with suppliers to review findings.
Are the data accessible under the Freedom of Information Act?
No. Because each MEP center is a grantee of the Department of Commerce, it is not required to provide information under the Freedom of Information Act.
